Learn to Swim
Learn to Swim
More than 105,000 kids across Scotland are involved in Scottish Swimming’s National Learn to Swim Framework
Scottish Water is proud to support Learn To Swim.
The Learn to Swim programme encourages children into swimming pools and to pick up a key life skill at an early age.
The unique partnership between Scottish Water and Scottish Swimming – extended into its fourth year in 2020/21 – supports over 105,000 children to learn to be safe and confident in and around water through lessons delivered by leisure trusts and aquatic providers countrywide.
Scotland is a nation of rivers, reservoirs, coastal waters and lochs – and being able to enjoy these environments safely is important.
Scottish swimming star Duncan Scott is the Learn to Swim Ambassador, and para swimmer Toni Shaw has also become an Ambassador for the programme.
Everyone can learn to swim - accessibility is also a vital element in the programme and the lessons give youngsters an opportunity to learn in a fun environment from pre-school age.
