Update: North Shore Road, Loch Katrine

North shore road (owned by Scottish Water) at Loch Katrine is re-opened after parts of it were affected by a number of landslips during heavy rainfall, access will continue to be limited during periods of heavy rainfall when a yellow weather warning is in place.

As such, when heavy rainfall is expected we will be putting restrictions in place as a safety precaution, therefore access to the North Shore Road will be controlled between Portnellan and Stronachlachar Pier.

Closed gates and digital warning signs will be in place at access points and at Trossachs Pier car park and Stronachlachar Pier to notify the public. Restricted access will remain in place for the duration of the weather warning.

George Leslie personnel will be on site to keep an eye on things, update the warning signs and reopen as appropriate.

Please note that the details of the weather warnings may well change, however, this will be the information we’re working with at that moment in time.

Local residents, businesses and visitors to the area are thanked for their patience and understanding during these times.
