Manse Street Water Treatment Works

As part of our £30 million investment in the water network supplying Galashiels, Selkirk and the surrounding area we will be decommisioning our Manse Street Water Treatment Works to the west of Galashiels which is coming to the end of its serviceable life.

The works abstracts water from the Caddon Water which has been identified as being negatively impacted by our operations during dry spells.

In 2020, the works will be switched off and converted into service reservoir. This will help to improve flows in the Caddon Water during dry summer periods.
